How Much Should a Guest Post Cost?

Guest-post pricing varies too widely for one universal 'fair price.' A useful budget is built from the publishers that meet your quality criteria, not from a generic price-per-DR chart.

Why prices vary

Audience size, niche, country, real traffic, editorial reputation, production effort, link terms, turnaround, and demand can all move the price.

Do not price DR in isolation

Authority metrics are useful for screening but are not a product specification. Two sites with similar DR can have very different audiences, traffic histories, editorial standards, and risk profiles.

Calculate all-in cost

Include writing, editing, internal review time, platform fees where applicable, and the cost of replacing a failed or removed placement.

Budget method

Review a meaningful sample of acceptable publishers, calculate the median and range, then allocate budget across several strong-fit opportunities instead of chasing a single headline metric.
